• Backyard Nigh Sky (09/10-August-2026)

Time-lapse videos of night sky looking up from my backyard. I create these to document the overnight observation conditions for my Vespera telescopes. The first time-lapse video is a 180° full sky view looking straight up with a timestamp overlay. The second is a 360° Little Planet view and the third a creative 360° Little Planet “Starlapse” view.

For the 180° full sky view, looking up, the top of the image is north. The left side is east, and the right side is west. With the 360° little planet view the top of the image is north, the right side is east, and the left side is west.

Images taken with a Hasselblad 907x camera and Laowa 8-15 mm fisheye lens (ISO 100, 11 mm, f/8, 32 sec). Images processed with Capture One Pro, timestamp added with IrfanView. Time-lapse video created with Photoshop (2k, 10p).

Insta360 OneRS camera (ISO 160, f/2.2, 30 sec). Merged PureShot Video created from the DNG files using Insta360 Studio (Little Planet view, 155°, 2k, 24p).

Insta360 OneRS camera (ISO 160, f/2.2, 30 sec). Starlapse Video created from the DNG files using Insta360 Studio (Little Planet view, 155°, 2k, 24p).
